The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC) seeks the services of an experienced consultant to develop a Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan for its six member jurisdictions. The TJPDC, with support from the City of Charlottesville, and the Counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson, applied for and was successfully awarded a grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Discretionary Grant Program to develop a multi-jurisdictional Comprehensive Safety Action Plan. While the grant program funds both planning and implementation projects, entities must first adopt a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan that meets certain requirements prior to being eligible to submit applications for implementation grant funding through the SS4A funding program. The purpose of this project is to develop a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan that will satisfy those eligibility requirements for all six local jurisdictions within Virginia’s Planning District 10.
