The CA-MPO will host a public hearing and public comment period for a proposed amendment to the FY24-27 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The CA-MPO Policy Board will hold the public hearing and take action on the amendment at its regularly scheduled meeting on October 28, 2026, at 4pm at the Water Street Center, 407 E. The Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Organization (CA-MPO) Public Engagement Plan outlines how the CA-MPO provides opportunities for participation in the metropolitan transportation planning process. On February 25, 2026, the CA-MPO Policy Board voted to sunset the Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC). Revisions are being proposed to the CA-MPO Public Engagement Plan to remove references to CTAC as a formal committee of the CA-MPO. The UPWP provides a mechanism for coordinating transportation planning activities in the Charlottesville-Albemarle Metropolitan Planning Area. The work program for FY27 outlines the Metropolitan Planning Organization staff work schedule for the period between July 1st, 2026, and June 30th, 2027.
